The Surly Dragon

This isn't a review, I started this book the other day and it tells the tale of a Marine dog handler that was killed in action and returns home in the body of his dog that managed to survive the IED.  

I am enjoying it, but it is painful, emotionally, to read.  I keep putting a dear friend of mine into the protagonist's place in this book and after a few minutes of reading, I have to set it down and walk away.  Often in tears.
