I received a copy of this book from NetGalley for an honest review. This was one of the first books I received from NetGalley (started getting them in either September or October of last year), but for some reason, it had been shuffled to depths of my TBR pile. I am glad I dug it out.
The only problem I had with the book was a few chapters that were third person. They were too random for my liking. One minute I am reading from Watney's POV to suddenly it seemed what was either the planet, a satellite, or some random alien observer's POV. That did not work for me, but these chapters were not many... I think only two or possibly three.
Great job though, and if you like a mix of personal and hard science science fiction, I think you will enjoy.
